Anger Management Counselling

Perhaps you feel that sometimes (even often) that your anger has gotten out of hand or has even caused serious problems in your life. Maybe you have road rage, get dangerously angry with your spouse, or have had problems with employers, police, or other authority figures.

I believe that the therapy of anger management is not just as simple matter of finding the right technique (such as counting to 10 or walking away) to contain the anger. Where there’s anger, there’s energy.

I’m always interested in helping clients learn where that energy comes from. What drives the anger? If we can understand the real sources of our discontent, we can begin to do something about them. Additionally, although much is made of “anger management techniques”, my belief is that it is at least equally important to be able to proactively identify potential sources of anger so we can avoid the “necessity” of behaving in an angry, inappropriate way.
