Anxiety Counselling

It is not uncommon to experience anxiety or fear.

After all, the world can be unpredictable, even dangerous. However, we need not be paralyzed by our fears and anxieties. I have found that it is not helpful (and ultimately harmful) to imagine that somehow we can avoid our anxieties. Avoidance simply leaves us trapped in fear.

The only way to deal with anxiety or fear is to go through (not around) it. That does not mean that we have to negotiate our fears alone. Having the help and support of a trusted other (including an attentive and caring psychotherapist) can make the process so much easier.
