Grief Counselling

Almost any loss is accompanied by sadness and grief. Perhaps you have lost a loved one, lost a pet, an important relationship, a job, or a treasured possession. Sometimes the grief can feel unbearable or overwhelming. Personal experience and the experiences of others (family, friends, clients) has taught me that life does not and cannot go on as if nothing has happened.

Life has changed (perhaps irrevocably) and to pretend otherwise is to remain in denial. We need to acknowledge and honour our losses and often it is helpful to have someone validate those losses and help us make sense of them.

There is no magic cure and no definitive end point to grief, but it can subside and even temper the soul given the proper care, attention and support.
